There may be a long time before the launch of Apple’s upcoming iPhone 13 series, but leaked reports related to it have started coming out. There are reports about the iPhone 13 series that Apple may offer a 120Hz refresh rate display in them. Apple can take help of South Korea tech company Samsung for high refresh rate display. Leak reports claim that Apple may offer a new LTPO AMOLED screen in iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max smartphones with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. This display is exclusively made by Samsung. Not only this, Samsung is also supplying Samsung Electro-Mechanics Rigged Flexible Printed Bores (RFPCB) to Apple. Read also: Top 10 smartphones Under Rs 10000
The RFPCB is used to connect the OLED panel to the main board. RFPCB Certic Boards are rigid and can be folded. These circuit boards provide a fast transmission of electronic signal along with a fairly consistent product design. RFPCB circuit boards are more expensive than traditional circuit bort FPCBs.
Samsung Electro-Mechanics thought of relinquishing the RFPCB business last year. This announcement was made by Samsung due to lack of profit in the last few years. The company had previously supplied these Certic boards for the iPhone 12. It is possible that the company will shut down this business after making the RFPCB circuit board for the iPhone 13 series.
Samsung Display could supply 110 million panels this year for Apple’s iPhone. After this the figure is expected to be 50 million for LG Display and 9 million for BOE.
